Kyle J. Powell

Kyle is a Director, Director of Photography, Photographer and Editor based in New Jersey. He began his film journey at 18 as a student at Kean University studying communications film. He has since spent the last ten years on hundreds of sets including Music videos, Short films and many creative productions, starting as a Production Assistant and working his way up and through the camera department to eventually finding a passion in cinematography. Regardless of the type of project his goal as a Director of Photography is to create powerful images that affect the viewer on a emotional level.

His DP work on a short film called “Love you to Death” became the winning short film in a contest for the Newark International Film Festival. He has worked really closely with this festival submitting shorts with the production company Direct Focus Studios and assisting with the BTS/Interviews.

He shows the utmost in professionalism on set when we all come together to create something memorable. He’s always looking for different projects to film, likes to keep busy, and enjoys the work.
